The new thriller “Missing,” starring Storm Reid and Nia Long, has released a trailer

Screen Gems’ newest picture, “Missing”, stars Storm Reid, Nia Long, and Ken Leung in a tense struggle between truth and trust.

In this follow-up to the 2018 film Searching, Grace Allen (Long) goes missing while on vacation in Colombia with her new lover, Kevin (Leung), leaving her daughter, June (Reid), to investigate the case with minimal assistance from the FBI and local police.

As June travels thousands of miles away from her home, she begins to piece together information that raises more concerns than it answers.

Film co-writer/co-director Nick Johnson told IGN, “You’ll catch a lot of humorous callouts to the previous movie. It’s not a straight sequel in the usual sense, as it features an entirely new family and tale. We aimed to improve upon the scale and quality of the visuals in this film. Add as much vitality as you can muster from your youthful spirit.

Therefore, there were many possibilities for that in a narrative about a young girl yearning for her mother.

Accuracy.

Later, Johnson said, “Our objective has always been to capture the world of the Internet as precisely as we can to ground the movie. We hate it when films make a sloppy attempt to make an app look like something it is not. Always, we’ve aimed for app-like accuracy. Every character in the film utilizes a variety of typical applications; therefore, these may be prominent.

Growing up Vs Grownups,

The film is also about “growing up and learning that all the grownups in your world have these far more intricate lives than the box you put them in,” as Will Merrick, his creative collaborator, phrased it. Thus, it’s to my liking when moviegoers may anticipate what themes can be addressed by watching the trailer.
