Modern technology gives us many things.

Hulu Is The First TV Streaming Provider To Offer A Free Unlimited DVR

If you use the Live TV option with Hulu, then you’ll be happy to know that DVR will now be an unlimited feature without paying any extra. This service is one that should be comparable to other services including YouTube TV and Flex TV. Viewers can enjoy the addition starting April 13. Playback and fast-forwarding features will be available for about nine months.

This is a timeframe that’s similar to what YouTube TV is offering. Hulu with Live TV was only offering consumers storage that took up about 50 hours of space. However, that could be upgraded to about 200 hours if viewers want to add on additional features. Keep in mind that the additions will likely be between $10 and $15 a month. If you choose these packages, then there won’t be a charge for the additional storage space.

Changes That Have Been Made

One of the reasons why people have been navigating toward YouTube TV is because of the unlimited DVR space that’s been offered. This feature is only one that Hulu Live has made in recent months to try to keep customers as happy as possible. The service hopes that it can stay in a competitive market with unlimited DVR while also bundling with Disney Plus and ESPN Plus so that customers have more options when it comes to TV programs and movies.

Viewers now have access to over 80 channels with Live TV. The plan is a bit more expensive than others, but the company hopes that the removal of the fees associated with unlimited DVR will be enough to hold onto customers and attract new ones. Customers can pay one subscription price to get at least 80 channels, Disney, and the DVR feature instead of paying for each thing separately. Hulu is one of the only services that will offer unlimited DVR without an additional price that customers have to pay, which is something that the company hopes will help make it stand out from other streaming services.

Reaching Viewers

There are about 4 million subscribers who use Hulu in some way. Viewers need to keep in mind that they still need to monitor the content that they have saved as the DVR feature won’t last for long unless they save the content that they have all over again. Unlimited DVR will be available for all customers with new customers being given the option to choose a package that includes 50 hours of DVR content for $9.99 or 200 hours of content for $14.99. This is an option that allows viewers to scroll through the content that they don’t want to watch. Viewers who currently pay for the additional storage will see that the fees will drop off of their bill after April 13, which is another way that Hulu hopes to make customers happy.

Hulu is a large streaming service with the name being known in many households even if they don’t have a subscription. The service offers content for all ages and ranges from cartoons for toddlers to enjoy to classics for adults. There have been some disputes with YouTube TV and other streaming services, but viewers have wandered over to them because of the additional features that have been offered. Aside from Disney and ESPN, Hulu also offers packages that give viewers access to Cinemax and Starz.
