Steve Burton Files For Divorce From Pregnant Wife Sheree After Claiming He’s Not The Baby’s Father

It’s a done deal. Steve Burton, who used to be on the show “General Hospital,” has filed for a divorce from his wife, Sheree Burton, just two months after he said she was pregnant with another man’s child.

The soap star, who is 52 years old, filed for divorce on July 8 in Orange County, California, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. Documents obtained by Us Weekly show that the actor put March 1 as the date they first split up.

Steve used Instagram in May to say that he and the 45-year-old fitness instructor were no longer together after 23 years of marriage. “I’d like to make something clear. “Sheree and I are no longer together,” he wrote at the time on Instagram Stories. “She just told everyone that she’s going to have her fourth child. “I don’t have that child.”

They got married in 1999 and have three kids together: Makena, 18, Jack, 16, and Brooklyn, 7.

“We still share care of our three beautiful children,” he said. “At this time, we’d like to be left alone. Much luv, Steve.”

Sheree hasn’t said anything about who the father of her fourth child is yet, but in January she posted a mysterious message on Instagram about making mistakes, which fans think may be about her marriage.

“If you could go back and talk to your younger self, what would you say? I might have said… Follow what makes you happy. People will hurt you, but you should always be nice and do the right thing. Don’t be afraid to try new things or fail at them.

“It’s okay to make mistakes. Learn from them and move on!” the nutrition coach wrote. “You are brave, strong, and beautiful. You can do anything you set your mind to. Because life is short, you should enjoy it and love everyone. I hope you had a nice day.”

This isn’t the first time in recent months that the man from Indiana has been in the news. The actor was fired from General Hospital in November 2021 because he didn’t want to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Steve, who played Jason Morgan, said at the time on Instagram, “I wanted you to hear it from me personally.” “Unfortunately, General Hospital fired me because they had to make everyone get vaccinated. I did try to get medical and religious exemptions, but I was turned down for both. Which hurts, you know. But for me, this is also about freedom of choice.”

The actor from Kingdom Hearts started working on the soap opera in 1991. In 1998, he won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Even though he left General Hospital for The Young and the Restless, where he won another Daytime Emmy in 2017, he came back in 2012 and worked there until he was fired in 2021.

In April, it was reported that he had joined the cast of Beyond Salem, a spinoff of Peacock’s Days of Our Lives.

“We are MORE than happy about this news! The show’s head writer, Ron Carlivati, tweeted at the time, “#BeyondSalem #Days #SteveBurton.”
