When the first season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch was released, fans of both the original trilogy and Star Wars: The Clone Wars were ecstatic. Season one included fan favorites including Captain Rex and Hera Syndualla from Star Wars: Rebel and the show continue the story of a group of clones introduced in the last season of The Clone Wars. Returning characters will abound in the upcoming season of The Bad Batch, and that includes some surprising faces.
When is Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Coming Out?
When Season 2 was first announced, posters said it would premiere in the fall of 2022. Thankfully, Disney+ published the correct premiere date just a few days after the teaser dropped. Star Wars: The Bad Batch will premiere on September 28, 2022, and will consist of 16 episodes, most likely airing once each week on Wednesdays. Also, Season 2 of The Bad Batch will premiere around the same time as Andor does and continue on until Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is made available to the public.
This series will debut exclusively on Disney+, as has been the case with all Star Wars programming. Now that Disney+ is available in more territories, fans everywhere will finally be able to watch their favorite Star Wars shows.

The Cast of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2
The Bad Batch features a small cast mostly due to the extraordinary talents of voice actor Dee Bradley Baker. All five members of the Bad Batch have the same voice actor because he voices all of the clones. Despite the oddity of the concept, his ability to give each clone a distinctive personality through subtle changes in speech pattern, intonation, and other subtleties makes for a very remarkable performance.
Omega, the sole female clone of Jango Fett in the Star Wars saga, will be played once again by Michelle Ang. Rhea Perlman, who played the sardonic mercenary godmother Cid in the first film, will be back for the sequel. There are rumblings that Ming-Na Wen may return as Fennec Shand, and we know Dave Filoni will keep making appearances between seasons as usual, but none of these things can be confirmed at this time.

What is Star Wars: The Bad Batch’s Future?
Disney shows no indications of slowing down Star Wars content creation, which may or may not include a third season of The Bad Batch. It’s unlikely that Lucasfilm’s creative director Dave Filoni would prematurely abandon one of his favorite projects, especially given the amount of money being poured into programs set in different time periods, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and the anthology series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.
If the first season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch is any indication, season two will be just as thrilling. Every aspect of the Star Wars canon, from Star Wars: Rebels to Star Wars: Republic Commando, is referenced and connected in some way or another in this series. And Bad Batch does all this while presenting a touching tale of veterans trying to find their place in the world and helping to guide a young woman to adulthood via their guidance (we hope). Star Wars: The Bad Batch is a fantastic program for anybody, from the most dedicated fan who has watched or read every Star Wars endeavor ever to the family seeking an upbeat A-Team-style show to enjoy together.
