Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Game Announced, First Trailer and 2023 Release Date Revealed

We’ve known for a while that the next part of Cal Kestis’s story would take place in a galaxy far, far away. Today, EA told us when the highly anticipated sequel will come out. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is the official name of the sequel, will come out in 2023 if nothing goes wrong.

The game starts five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal Kestis is still on the run from the Empire, and the deadly Inquisitors are still after him. Cal is now a skilled Jedi, but his fight against the Empire is going to be hard.

The first trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is a teaser, is a sad one. Cal is once again on his own, and it looks like he won’t have his lightsaber, which we worked hard to fix. I’m not sure what happened to his friends, but since we last saw Cal five years ago, a lot seems to have changed.

EA says Cal will meet “a variety of unique and interesting characters” on his journey, and it looks like his friend BD-1 will be back, which is good. We don’t know much about the story or the gameplay, but the fact that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is only being made for next-gen consoles (Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC) gives me hope that the graphics and gameplay will be a big step up. The combat in the first game was already amazing, but now that Respawn is using next-gen technology and isn’t limited by last-gen tech, the possibilities are very interesting and I can’t wait to see more.

Since there is no EA Play Live this summer, we don’t know when we’ll see Star Wars Jedi: Survivor again. EA didn’t take any risks with the release date and just stuck with the vague year 2023. That’s probably to keep from having to tell people about a disappointing delay. Also, I’m pretty sure EA wants to make this a big hit for the holidays.
