Netflix Announces Golf Documentary Series Full Swing Trailer & Premiere Date

 The long-awaited PGA Tour documentary now has a title, a release date, and a trailer, and it looks incredible. The teaser will introduce viewers to the world of Full Swing and what to expect from this forthcoming blockbuster.

Full Swing, produced by the team behind the blockbuster Formula 1: Drive to Survive series, will premiere on Netflix on February 15th, 2023 and a short trailer published on social media has piqued interest in the show, which follows one of the sport’s craziest years.

What Is ‘Full Swing’ About?

Full Swing is a documentary series that follows a group of professional golfers competing on the PGA tour and (for the first time) all four of golf’s major championships: the Masters/Augusta National, PGA Championship, US Open, and Open Championship. Box to Box, the creators of “Formula 1: Drive to Survive,” is responsible for “Full Swing.” In addition to charting their accomplishments and failures on the course, the series digs deeper into the inner lives of some of the game’s most talented golfers, showing their families, rivalries, and an extraordinary amount of drama.

Who Is Featured In ‘Full Swing’?

Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa, Ian Poulter, Joel Dahmen, Matt Fitzpatrick, Dustin Johnson, Tony Finau, Sahith Theegala, Mito Pereira, Joao Niemann, Rory McIlroy are among the players featured in the trailer.

The docuseries will include a variety of LIV Golf stars, including Johnson, Poulter, Koepka, and Niemann, with Poulter commenting, “You picked a hell of a year to start following the PGA Tour.” After losing in the second round to Matt Fitzpatrick at the WGC-Match Play Championship, Poulter appeared to have launched a club.

The trailer concludes with World No. 1 Rory McIlroy stating, “If I want the game I love to be played by future generations, the game must be advanced.” The Northern Irishman has been the most prominent player to speak out against LIV Golf, serving as the tour’s de facto spokesman during the current civil war.

More About The Documentary


The trailer features tournaments such as the WM Phoenix Open and WGC-Match Play, both of which were won by Scottie Scheffler, and the Genesis Invitational, which Joaquin Niemann won. The PGA Championship, which Justin Thomas won, and the US Open, which Matt Fitzpatrick won.

Scheffler also won The Masters, where he conquered Augusta National to earn his first Major title. According to Netflix’s original January 2022 announcement, The Masters would also be featured alongside The Open Championship. The Players Championship and FedEx Cup Playoffs were also confirmed to be featured.
