Adam Driver, Don Cheadle, and Greta Gerwig appeared in the Netflix original series White Noise, a comedy-horror-drama combination that made its debut earlier this year. The trailer for the film caused me to have a lot of doubts.

White Noise is a film directed by Noah Baumbach and adapted from a novel written by Don DeLillo. The story focuses on a contemporary blended family as they struggle to cope with the aftermath of a horrific tragedy. The misfit crew never loses sight of the fact that they are, first and foremost, a family, complete with never-ending petty fighting, amusing jokes, and profound queries about everything in the world. This is true even while they are narrowly avoiding tragedy. (Well? The matter at hand is whether or not to use corporal punishment.

As this unorthodox family dynamic ricochets furiously between houses, lakes, and tempestuous havens in the deeply divided trailer, audiences will be on the edge of their seats. It’s about as likely as winning the lottery that you’ll make it out of this situation alive. Will this family’s love for one another and their resolve be enough? Or will they ultimately quit in the face of the mounting number of fatalities in their nation?
On December 2nd, select theatres in the United Kingdom will play host to the global premiere of White Noise, and on December 30th, the film will be made accessible on Netflix internationally.
