There are a large number of fans of the Show who have been perplexed and are still perplexed as to whether or not the show will be renewed. I made the decision to be really direct about the situation. It has been cancelled, and there has been no word on whether or not a second season will be produced. Why was October Faction Season 2 cancelled by Netflix?
Netflix didn’t want to keep the October Faction for season 2. There is a very interesting story behind this. Recently, it was said by the Hollywood Reporter that Netflix has cancelled two fantasy shows called “V-Wars” and “October Faction.” Both of these shows are based on IDW Comics properties. It’s not clear why Netflix hasn’t kept The October Faction, even though it gets a lot of attention from people. It isn’t clear how many people watched the show, but it was still watched by a lot. Rotten Tomatoes gave the show a rating of 49%, which was a little better than the 33% that the critics gave it.
Because the October Faction was cancelled, there may be another reason why it didn’t work out. V-Wars, The October Faction, and Locke and Key are all IDW comic book series that Netflix has recently made into TV shows. It’s possible that all three of these dream series were interesting to the same people, which may be why Netflix decided to save money and only give one of them a second season. For this reason, Locke and Key being approved for Season 2 was likely bad news for the other two shows.
What is October Faction about?
It has all the ingredients for a gripping plot, including comic book visuals of family disturbance, parental deaths, and monsters.
Fred and Deloris Allen and their twin high school students, Geoff and Viv, are the focus of the October Faction story. Following the death of Fred’s father Samuel, the family has decided to organise the burial in their old neighbourhood of Barrington on Hudson. Afraid of reliving painful memories of his brother’s death and his parents’ never-ending battles about his inadequacies and choices in women, Fred is reluctant to return.
Viv’s nightmares about a long-haired beast shackled to the ocean floor during a seance put the youngsters on a path of incredible prowess. In addition, Geoff surprises his classmates by learning the darkest secret about his significant other from a teacher. Both are criticised by the renowned ingroups for being untouchables since they don’t seem to be very successful at establishing friends.
Fred and Deloris, members of a mystery organisation tasked with protecting humanity from the likes of animals known as Presidio, are supposed to keep their identities hidden from the town’s populace. As strange events unfold in the sleepy small village, it’s a hard demonstration from the start.
With six comic book volumes of source material, and the co-creators themselves working on the TV series, fans may take comfort in the fact that the tale will be quite true to the comics.
Who is in the cast of October Faction?
Tamara Taylor (Bones, Lost) portrays Deloris, and JC MacKenzie (The Wolf of Wall Street) portrays Fred, who is the driving force behind the cast’s adventures tracking after beasts. Aurora Burghard (Sex Education) and Gabriel Darku (Impulse) star as Viv and Geoff, a couple whose intriguing character and ability to deal with the unexpected turbulence their “perfect” old neighbourhood throws at them becomes essential to the film’s plot.
Season one also featured appearances by Wendy Crewson (Room), Megan Follows (Reign), and Stephen McHattie (Watchmen), amongst other celebrities.
