The Lakers have lost every season’s third quarter—typical Wednesday. First-half paint scoring was 32-17 for the Nuggets. That won’t work against a Western Conference powerhouse on the road. Anthony Davis gave us another scare as he rose to dispute a shot and was smacked in the back by Joker’s forearm at eight minutes. Since camp, AD has had low back issues. It’s a miracle he survived and seemed healthy.

The Lakers never got going or cut the gap in the fourth. After Matt Ryan’s jumper cut the lead to seven, the Nuggets took over. The Lakers’ only other highlight in the fourth was Darvin Ham’s T ‘d-up outrage at the referees. The Nuggets defeated the Lakers despite their attempts.
