Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck go on a date to Ralph Lauren’s West Coast show

Hollywood heavyweights such as Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck turned out in style for Ralph Lauren’s inaugural West Coast show on Thursday night. They walked the red carpet together in matching all-black ensembles.

Both Lopez and Affleck have been lifelong fans of Ralph Lauren, and they donned specially made Ralph Lauren wedding attire on August 20. Both the men’s and women’s collections for Spring/Summer 2023 were shown at San Marino, California’s Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens.

Stars including Jessica Chastain, John Legend, Robin Wright, Diane Keaton, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Laura Dern, Lily Collins, Maggie Rogers, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, James Marsden, Sylvester Stallone, and many more were present at the glitzy event. The brand’s social media accounts provided insight into the creative process behind the upcoming spring collections before the show.

According to the official description, “the #RLSP23 collections draw inspiration from the World of Ralph Lauren and the dream of California” (which is defined as “joy, optimism, and the endless pursuit of a life well lived”).

To quote Ralph Lauren himself: “Each collection is imbued with Ralph Lauren’s spirit of personal style and individuality, uniting it with the spirit of California living and dreaming.”

Ralph Lauren, Ralph Lauren Corporation’s Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, released a statement discussing the significance of the California collection in advance of the exhibition.

With this first trip to California, he said, “For the first time, I bring my dream of living to California, celebrating a way of life that I have always believed in — a mix of grit and glamour, energy and inspiration,”
