The third and final season of ‘His Dark Materials’ aired on HBO on Monday, December 5 (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) with two episodes back-to-back. It will also be available to stream on HBO Max. Two new episodes will come out every week until the series ends on December 26. The HDM TV show is based on Philip Pullman’s trilogy of books, so each season is like one of the books. The first two books, Northern Lights and The Subtle Knife, are thought to be the basis for seasons one and two. Season three is believed to be based on the last book, The Amber Spyglass.
