If you are a fan of the popular game show Jeopardy, you may have noticed one of the show’s familiar faces—Ike. He has been a staff member since 2004, working as a researcher and writer for the show. Over the past sixteen years, he has become an integral part of the Jeopardy family. The first season of ABC’s Celebrity Jeopardy! began last year, and the winner was announced today. Ike Barinholtz won the finale of Season 1 of Celebrity Jeopardy! after defeating Patton Oswalt and Wil Wheaton. According to the celebrity edition of Jeopardy! Format, three television and film stars compete for their respective charities.

In Episode 13, the celebrity players’ charity included:

  • Pacific Clinics featured Ike Barinholtz, an actor from The Mindy Project and The Afterparty.
  • Patton Oswalt, an actor and comedian from The King of Queens appeared in Alice’s Kids.
  • Wil Wheaton, an actor known for his roles in Stand by Me and Star Trek: The Next Generation, performed for the National Women’s Law Center.

While the winner, Ike, was awarded a million-dollar cash reward for his charity, the other two contestants did not leave empty-handed. They also received enormous amounts for their respective charity.

The Celebrity Jeopardy! Finale Season 1 was both thrilling and entertaining. Throughout Episode 13, all three players were competitive, yet they never missed an opportunity to add comedic elements. First-round categories included “Ike & Patton, Easy Money, Hop On The Homophone, Formidable Fantasy, Transportation, Wil(l), Willem Or William.”

After winning the first Daily Double, Ike Barinholtz took the lead from the other two competitors. With 14 accurate responses, he earned $6,000 in cash. Wil Wheaton placed second after answering eight questions correctly and earning $2,800. Patton Oswalt finished in second place with $2,100 after providing seven correct answers in the first round.

Second-round categories were “Thought You’d Like To Know; It’s Also A Greek Letter, From “D” to “F,” Composers Are Quirky, Going Underground, and All About Disney.”

Watching the Double Jeopardy round was a pleasure. Wil and Ike prioritized the most valuable questions. Wil was initially in second place, with Ike in the lead.

However, things changed after Patton won two Daily Doubles in a row. Both times he spent his whole bankroll and won, giving him the advantage in the second round. Patton, Ike, and Wil all entered the third round with scores of $20,000, $12,200, and $7,200, respectively.

The celebrity edition of Jeopardy! Features an additional Jeopardy round. In the final episode of Season 1, the third round categories were “Getting Close to Something, Notable Names; There Will Be Blood, Lakes & Rivers, Singin’ In The Rain, Taking A Gamble With James Holzhauer.”

In the third round, which contained three Daily Doubles, Ike and Patton engaged in a heated encounter. Patton and Ike discovered the Daily Doubles and placed enormous wagers.

Fortunately, they won, placing Ike at the top of the leaderboard, followed by Patton. Wil Wheaton appeared less passionate in the third round because he did not answer many questions. While his score in the final game was $11,500, the other two players gained a substantial amount. Patton received $36,000, while Ike received $50,000.

The last round of Jeopardy was tense, and all three contestants correctly answered the final question. Wil finished in third place, while the difference in points between Patton and Ike was only $1.

In the season one finale of Celebrity Jeopardy!, the final round category was “Artists.” The clue stated,

“Despite his reputation, he was likely born in Anchiano, close to Florence.”

Leonardo da Vinci was the correct response to the final question. In the ABC episode, all three celebrity contestants provided the correct answer.

While Ike won a $1 million cash award and a trophy for Celebrity Jeopardy!, Patton placed second and received $250,000 for his charity. Wil, who placed third in the competition, won $100,000 for his charity.
