Where exactly will Murdaugh be prisoned?

According to Independent, Although it hasn’t been decided yet, Murdaugh will probably spend his time in one of South Carolina’s seven maximum security prisons reserved for the most dangerous offenders. After the sentencing, the South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDOC) was supposed to send him to the Kirkland Correctional Institute in Columbia. This is one of the state’s maximum security prisons, and all male offenders are initially transferred here when they are sentenced.
