What Happened To Gypsy Rose?

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been in prison for ten years for killing her mother, Dee Dee. Gypsy is currently married. On June 27, she married Ryan Scott Anderson in Missouri. She could be paroled as early as December 2023.

After persuading Godejohn to travel to Springfield, the two conspired to kill Blanchard’s mother. Godejohn stabbed Dee Dee to death.

Even though Gypsy’s father, Rod, created a Change.org petition to have her released earlier due to the peculiar circumstances surrounding her case, which has received over 17,000 signatures, there has been no indication that she will be released sooner.

But Gypsy Rose is thriving in prison — far more so than she ever did on the outside, given that her mother, who suffered from a severe type of Munchausen-by-proxy syndrome, kept her severely ill and wheelchair-bound and never permitted her to interact with her peers. The stepmother of Gypsy Rose told the Springfield News-Leader, “Despite everything, she insists she’s happier now than with her mother.” “And if she had to choose between jail and returning to her mother, she would choose jail.
