Trailer For Martin Lawrence and John Malkovich’s Serial Killer Thriller MINDCAGE

Lionsgate has released the trailer for a new serial killer thriller coming out titled Mindcage. The movie stars Martin Lawrence, John Malkovich, and Melissa Roxburgh, and the story follows two detectives who seek the help of a serial killer in prison as a copycat killer terrorizes the city.

It’s like a mix of Mindhunter and Silence of the Lambs.

Mindcage Trailer: Martin Lawrence & Melissa Roxburgh Hunt a Copycat Killer

In this “spellbinding thriller, detectives Jake (Lawrence) and Mary (Roxburgh) seek the help of an incarcerated serial killer named “The Artist” (Malkovich) when a copycat killer strikes.

While Mary searches for clues in The Artist’s brilliant but twisted psyche, she and Jake are lured into a diabolical game of cat & mouse, racing against time to stay one step ahead of The Artist and his copycat.”

It looks pretty disturbing as the killer’s victims are turned into art. The film was directed by Mauro Borrelli and it also stars Robert Knepper, Aiden Turner, and Jacob Grodnik. It doesn’t look like a great movie, but I’ll give it a shot.

Mindcage will be released in select theaters and on VOD starting December 16th, 2022.

Whatever Help I Provide Is For You, And Only For You.” Lionsgate Has Unveiled An Official Trailer For A New Serial Killer Thriller Titled Mindcage, From A Director You’ve Definitely Not Heard Of Before.

This seems like it’s a mix between “Mindhunter” and Silence of the Lambs, with a woman going directly to a serial killer in prison for help solving a new case.

Mindcage follows detectives Jake Doyle and Mary Kelly as they seek the help of an incarcerated serial killer named “The Artist” when a copycat killer strikes. While Mary searches for clues in The Artist’s brilliant but horrifically twisted psyche, they’re lured into a diabolical game of cat & mouse, racing against time to stay one step ahead of the killer(s).

The film stars Martin Lawrence (yes, really!!), Melissa Roxburgh, John Malkovich, Robert Knepper, Aiden Turner, & Jacob Grodnik. The coolest / freakiest part is the way the victims are turned into art, but the rest of this seems so derivative.

Despite Jake’s desire to see The Artist pay for his crimes, Mary can’t get anything out of the killer without making a deal to commute his death sentence.

Even once they meet his demands, he only gives some questionable help. His insanity is on full display as he speaks in riddles and religious imagery regarding his “art” and that of the copycat.

He eventually turns this game of cat and mouse into a race against the clock when he deduces that Mary is the copycat’s next victim. When the detectives find her whole life splayed across the killer’s walls, the disturbing reality sets in, and it sets up a tense race to stop the psychopath and save Mary’s life.
