“It’s wonderful to be back writing for the Defoe Family, and to dive once more into the complications of their lives and the lives of their clients,” says Abi Morgan, the Split’s creator.

The final series of this bittersweet trilogy sees Hannah dealing with the heartbreak of her own divorce, while also fighting to keep her family and marriage together. ” Noble Hale Defoe continues to rack up more billable hours in the “divorce capital of the world,” as siblings clash, past mistakes are revealed, and hearts are broken.

A statement from BBC executive producer Lucy Richer says: “The Split is one of our most popular and talked-about drama series, so we’re delighted to be back in production with Series 3.”

“As always, Abi Morgan’s incredible writing sparkles with truth and honesty, wit and heartbreak, as well as humor and heartbreak. The Defoes are back, and Hannah and Nathan are facing their most difficult challenge yet: how to survive the dissolution of their marriage and navigate their own divorce,” says the author.
