There have been rumours in South Korean media that Netflix’s zombie horror K-drama Sweet Home will get a second season.
A disturbed high school student named Cha Hyun-soo, represented by actor Song Kang, is the focus of this webtoon adaptation, created by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan. Monsters who seek to annihilate mankind eventually encircle Green Home and Cha and the rest of the occupants. To rescue themselves, they band together to fight off these blood-hungry beasts.
Since its December 2020 premiere on Netflix, Sweet Home has garnered a devoted following. Many have expressed their desire for a second season of the K-drama, which ended with a cliffhanger. Although Song Kang has reportedly been approached about reprising his part in the show, the specifics are still sketchy at this point.
Sweet Home Plot:
Sung Kang plays the role of high school student Cha Hyun-Su (Song Kang), who is an introverted individual who spends much of his time alone in his room. He refuses to communicate with his parents or younger sister. His whole family, with the exception of him, was killed in a vehicle accident one day. Cha Hyun-Su is the final survivor of the group. He reduces the size of his living quarters. At the moment, humans are morphing into monsters all around the planet, which is a fascinating spectacle to behold. Pyeon Sang-Wook (Lee Jin-Wook) and the other tenants of Cha Hyun Apartment Su’s building confront these beasts and fight for their lives in an attempt to survive.

When will Sweet Home season 2 be released?
Netflix is yet to announce if the show will return for a second season, more than a year after the first season aired.
Even though Song Kang, Lee Jin-wook, and Lee Si-young were rumoured to be returning for season two in July 2021, this was never verified.
At the end of December 2021, Song’s agency, Namoo Actors, announced that the actor had been in discussions to return to the series, but that he had not accepted the part. There is no word yet on the second season of Sweet Home or the actors who will appear in it, according to Netflix Korea.
Lee Eung-bok, the director of Sweet Home, has previously stated that the K-drama may have a second season when it was released in 2020. A press conference for the series revealed Lee and his team had already finalised the series’ narrative and hoped for the opportunity to put it into fulfilment..
The director told Soompi, “While we were writing, we finalised the conclusion of the tale ourselves so there are a couple things that popped out after we were done. When possible, we’d want to introduce the monsters that we couldn’t.

What’s the plot of Season 2 of Sweet Home?
A second season of “Sweet Home” has yet to be officially renewed, which means there is no official storyline description for the show’s second season. However, given where the first season ends, it is probable that the programme will pick up shortly after the events of the first season conclude.
Pyeon Sang-wook, who is in fact Ui-myeong and has just recently assumed the appearance of Sang-wook, awakens Chan Hyon-soo in the last moments of Season 1’s finale to learn that he is in an armoured truck being driven by the character Pyeon Sang-wook. Given the cliffhanger that the programme finishes on, it’s only natural for viewers to be interested in seeing how the tale progresses in the following episodes.
Netflix offers a large number of shows available on its platform that are intended to appeal to a diverse range of various audience members. Although Korean horror may not be to everyone’s taste, fans of the programme “Sweet Home” are hopeful that there are enough people who enjoy it to ensure that it will be renewed for a second season.

Who’s in the cast of season 2 of Sweet Home?
It’s probable that the cast of “Sweet Home” will remain the same if the programme is renewed for a second season. Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, Kim Nam-hee, and Lee Do-hyun will all reprise their roles as Cha Hyun-soo, the adolescent at the core of the drama, while Song Kang will join them in the show’s supporting cast.
The first season of the programme included a large cast that included not just Cha Hyun-soo, but also a variety of other characters who all shared an apartment complex with the main character. Audiences get the opportunity to encounter a diverse range of individuals that would not typically interact with one another due to the show’s relatively limited environment. In the same way, films like “Train to Busan” succeed because of their unique storylines. The epidemic affects a group of strangers who are compelled to work together to identify a common cause or risk being completely devastated by the perils that lurk beyond their front door.
