What will be the plot of Scream 6?

The original 1996 Scream was one of the earliest “meta” horror films in that its protagonists were well-versed in the conventions of the genre. This not only provided a few laughs but also gave the protagonists a chance to (attempt to) think things through while they searched for and eventually apprehended the Ghostface killer. Without giving too much away about the plot of the fifth film in the Scream franchise, set in 2022, the characters once again make use of their familiarity with horror movie cliches.
