Saisha Shinde India’s First Transgender Fashion Designer

She was born in a male body, but she exhibited a number of feminine characteristics, which led to her being bullied by her classmates. Saisha spoke about it in an interview, and she stated that

“Aye, baila,” my schoolmates used to tease me with when I was younger. They bullied me because I was shy and had feminine features, which they found offensive. My life was in shambles for the next few years. On the school grounds, I found refuge in the church, where I would sit in a corner until everyone else had left for the day.”

“After feeling less of a man for much of my schooling, I made the decision to make my behavior and appearance more hyper-masculine to make up for it. It was a completely conscious decision on my part. We’re talking about the early 1990s when gay men were degraded to the level of a caricature.”

When she was in her twenties, she came to the realization that she was more attracted to men than to women. In the beginning, she accepted herself as gay, but after a few therapies with the doctors, she came to realize that she was actually a trans woman. The actress admitted to having gender dysphoria (distress caused by a mismatch between a person’s gender identity and their physical appearance) when she was in her twenties in an interview. She went on to discuss her experiences as a gay woman. She expressed herself as follows:

“I come from a well-to-do family and was well-positioned financially when I started my career as a fashion designer. It was more convenient to remain in denial, but I soon realized that something was wrong. That I had to live my life for myself for the first time. My friends were unaware that I was dressing up in makeup and heels and dressing up in front of the mirror behind closed doors. “I felt like a woman who dressed up as a man in rugged boots and facial hair, not the other way around.” “I was living in the middle of the gender divide.”

During an interview, Saisha shared that she was very scared to tell her parents that she was transgender, but that once she did, they were surprisingly accepting of her transition. She expressed herself as follows:

“When I was learning Marathi, I was having difficulty finding the right words to express what I was feeling and who I wanted to be. My father is a staunch liberal who believes in equality for all. He has always been there for me, from purchasing dolls for me when I was a child to supporting my fashion career and standing by me when I decided to go through with gender transition, even having a say in which doctors I would consult. He is my rock. As a woman, she didn’t recognize me when I met her for the first time while dressed as a man. She assisted me in the selection of a new name [the designer’s niece has the same given name as her]. “We’ve started exchanging hair and makeup advice.”

She made the decision to undergo gender reassignment surgery in the year 2020. The procedure began with a series of sessions with the Indian psychiatrists Dr. Neha Shah and Dr. Armaan Pandey, who served as consultants. Her hormone replacement therapy was completed at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai under the supervision of endocrinologist Dr. Dheeraj Kapoor. She then underwent a hair treatment at the Metamorphosis Clinic in Mumbai. Saisha was required to attend voice modulation training because her voice was perceived as too masculine. She underwent a few more surgeries to completely transform her appearance into that of a woman. “She said in an interview,” she explained.

“It’s possible that my genetic physiology will prevent me from appearing as a ‘delicate’ woman in the future, but I intend to be an out and proud woman who will publicly wear makeup and heels regardless.” “Mala bhiti nahin ahey,” says the speaker.”

“When Miss India competes in an international pageant, there is a certain amount of expectation placed on her. She must appear elegant and exquisite, and the gown must appear delicate and dainty while also being powerful and strong, which, incidentally, is what my brand has become now that I have transitioned from a man to a woman. Embroidery, stones, and sequins are used to decorate the gown. Because Harnaaz believes in the importance of sustainability, we used embroidery material that was already lying around the studio. In addition, because she is from Punjab, we incorporated motifs inspired by phulkari into the ensemble. The geometric patterns that have become synonymous with phulkari patterns have been given a contemporary twist.”

As a contestant in the online reality show “Lock Upp,” hosted by Kangana Ranaut and produced by Ekta Kapoor in the year 2022, she made her debut as a model.

Saisha Shinde reveals she was molested by a close family member at age of 10

In a recent episode, she shared her experience of being molested at a young age by a well-known family member. According to Saisha, who recounted the horrifying incident, “I was molested by someone from my family when I was ten years old.” He was a close family friend who happened to be only a few years older than I was. The question is whether or not what he did to me constituted molestation. It was only a few years later that I realized I had been sexually abused by him. What is the nature of molestation in this case? (Wo mere se kuch saal hi bade the, sawal dethta hai kikuch saal bade the, wo molestation hua? Ishq maine samjha ki wo molestation hi tha? (Kuch saal baad smjhne ke baad maine samjha ki wo molestation hi tha.)

Kangana, who was taken aback by the news, inquires of the fashion designer whether she has confronted the individual or whether she wishes to confront him at this time. “I didn’t confront him,” Saisha says on the show, without revealing the identity of the individual. I believe I may have dropped hints, and as a result, he acted in this manner. Now, because this incident has been discussed here, it is reasonable to assume that he was aware of it.” (Mujhe laga ki maine bhi unhe hints diye honge ki unko aisa laga ki unko aisa laga ki unko aisa laga.) It goes without saying that if you have a good boat, you should be able to get away with it.)

Saisha had previously expressed her feelings for another contestant, Munawar Faruqui, in an earlier post. She also revealed that she had been subjected to mental abuse by a former partner while in a relationship.
