Singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer Christopher Alvin Stapleton (born April 15, 1978) is an American musician. Staffordsville, Kentucky, was where he was born and raised. To pursue an engineering degree at Vanderbilt, Stapleton travelled to Nashville in 2001, but he decided to focus on his music career instead. In order to create and promote his songs, Stapleton inked a deal with Sea Gayle Music.
With almost 170 songs to his name, Chris Stapleton’s resume reads like a who’s who of songwriters. “Never Wanted Nothing More,” “Josh Turner,” “George Strait’s Love’s Gonna Make It Alright” and “Drink a Beer” are just a few of the six number-one country songs he has co-written with other artists.
