My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is a Japanese animated superhero movie coming out in 2021. It is based on an original story with characters from the My Hero Academia manga series by Khei Horikoshi. The third movie in the series was made by Bones and distributed by Toho. It was directed by Kenji Nagasaki and written by Ysuke Kuroda. Daiki Yamashita, Nobuhiko Okamoto, and Yuki Kaji were all in the cast. About My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission

The third movie in the My Hero Academia movie series is called My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission. My Hero Academia, for those who don’t know, is a story about Izuku Midoriya’s journey to becoming the best hero in the world. Over 80% of the people in this anime world have a superpower, or “quirk,” as they call it, in the show.

Since everyone in the world had superpowers, being a “hero” became the most popular job. Izuku didn’t have any powers when he was born, so it was almost impossible for him to become a hero. After meeting Japan’s best hero, All Might, by chance, Izuku gets his power, One for All, which is one of the strongest quirks in the whole world. Deku has been training hard with the Symbol of Peace for months, and now he is ready to go to U.A. High School, Japan’s best hero school.

When was the My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission released?

According to sources, on November 26, 2020, it came out that the third season of My Hero Academia will start in the summer of 2021. After the season 5 premiere, it was confirmed that the movie would be released in Japan on Friday, August 6, 2021. Funimation said on August 25 that World Heroes’ Mission would be shown in theatres around the world. You can buy tickets here. The movie comes out in both subbed and dubbed versions on October 28 in Australia and New Zealand. On October 29, it opens in North America and the UK. Wakanim will show the movie in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. Both Spanish and Portuguese versions of World Heroes’ Mission will also be shown in Latin America.

 

Did World Heroes’ Mission release on digital platforms?

At the time of writing, no public digital streaming service has bought the rights to show World Heroes Mission. But the movie will definitely be on streaming sites at some point in the future, probably after it comes out on Blu-Ray DVD in Japan on February 16, 2022. Crunchyroll and Funimation are the  platforms that showed every seasons of the anime show simultaneously. But Netflix has also bought the broadcasting rights of the movie, which already has the first two movies in the series.

Plot of the Movie

When a group of anti-quirk terrorists destroys a city by letting out a gas that makes people’s powers go crazy, Japan’s best heroes go all over the world looking for the ringleader and trying to bring him to justice. Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki go to the European country of Otheon as part of the Endeavor team. But after stopping a botched robbery, Deku is accused of killing many people and is on the run with a small-time criminal. Both Otheon’s police and the terrorists are after him.

Cast Details of the Movie

In Japanese version, Daiki Yamashita played the role of Izuku Midoriya, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Katsuki Bakugo, Yuki Kajias as Shoto Todoroki, Ryo Yoshizawa as Rody Soul, Megumi Hayashibara as Pino and Kazuya Nakai as Flect Turn.

In English version of the movie Justin Briner played the role of Izuku Midoriya, Clifford Chapin as Katsuki Bakugo, David Matranga as Shoto Todoroki, Ryan Colt Levy as Rody Soul, Cristina Vee Valenzuela as Pino and Robbie Daymond as Flect Turn.
