Entertainment

(Pocket-lint) – The Drive to Survive series on Netflix is great. It is mostly about Formula 1, but you don’t have to like motorsports to enjoy it. In fact, you might like the show more than a true F1 fan because you might not know how some races turned out, which makes the episodes more interesting. F1 fans, on the other hand, can see things from a different point of view. Everyone wins.

Drive to Survive has given us a great look at the last four F1 seasons, the teams, and the drivers by focusing on the drama on and off the track. Now, it’s going to keep going. Netflix has said that there will be a fifth season.

So far, this is all we know about season 5 of Drive to Survive.

Drive to Survive will return for season 5. It is presently being produced and is scheduled to be released in 2023.

It wouldn’t be too unusual to see a release schedule similar to that of the last season, which would indicate that it will arrive on Netflix around March. This will enable the production to be finished and the 2022 F1 season to be completed.

What to expect from Drive to Survive season 5?

We think that season 5 of Drive to Survive will be a lot like the previous seasons. If something isn’t broken, why fix it? So, we’d expect each episode to focus on one or two teams and how they prepare for a race or races. There will probably be more interviews with the drivers and team leaders, and you’ll learn more about the drivers and their rivalries, as well as any drama.

You’ll also get analysis from F1 journalists like Will Buxton, who will give you a different take on what’s going on both on and off the track.

We don’t know which teams or drivers have agreed to take part, but the season is already shaping up to be a good one, especially since the manufacturers have to follow new rules.

Last year, we saw teams like Mercedes, Red Bull, McLaren, Williams, Renault, Scuderia Ferrari, and drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Daniel Ricciardo, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, and Sergio Perez.

Max Verstappen didn’t take part in season 4, even though he had in previous seasons. However, he has been talking to Netflix about coming back for season 5, and it looks like he will. Verstappen was a guest on the podcast Pardon My Take and talked about Drive to Survive. “I’m not going to be too negative about it now. I’ve talked to the people who are in charge and running the show. So, I think we actually came to a good understanding for the future … I think for the future, we came to a good understanding of how we can work together. So yeah, I’m sure in the next one, you will see a little bit more of me.”

Christian Horner, who is in charge of Red Bull’s team, has been a big part of the show for the last four seasons, so we don’t think we’ll miss too much Red Bull action even if Verstappen doesn’t come back fully.
