Barbara Ann Luna was born on March 2nd, 1939, in Manhattan, New York, to parents of Budapest, Hungary, and Italian ancestry; her paternal grandmother was from Spain, and her father was born in the Philippines. Barbara Ann Luna’s parents were of Budapest, Hungary, and Italian ancestry. One of the reasons Luna was cast in roles where she had to represent characters of Hispanic or Italian heritage is the diverse racial makeup of the cast. She was introduced to Broadway as a young age and has always had a passion for acting and theatre.
