Terry Crews Divorce: How Terry Crews Marriage Almost Ended

Terry Crews has had a surprising and varied career that has given him a lot to be happy about. He played in the NFL, worked on Ice Cube’s security team, and then got his big break in 2005’s “Everybody Hates Chris,” which was the start of a successful acting career. Crews have had a lot of high points, but he has also had his share of problems and scandals.

In 2017, the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star said that he had been sexually assaulted by a Hollywood executive. He then talked about what happened to try to help other people who may have been in a similar situation. But he was dealt a devastating blow when both the Los Angeles City Attorney and the Los Angeles County District Attorney turned down his criminal complaint against William Morris Endeavor agent Adam Venit.

Crews kept getting support from fans and peers, but some of them turned against him in June 2020 when he made headlines with a tweet that said “defeating White supremacy without White people creates Black supremacy.” Later, he said that the tweet was written in “a spirit of love and reconciliation, first for the Black community and then for the whole world.”

Now, Terry Crews is back in the news, and once again, it’s for a tough reason. The actor is talking about a problem in his own life that almost caused his marriage to end. Keep reading to find out more.

Terry Crews’s Secret Drug Use Almost Caused Him To Lose His Marriage

In their new Audible audiobook, “Stronger Together,” Terry and Rebecca King-Crews talk about how the actor’s secret drug use almost broke up their marriage. The host of “America’s Got Talent” talked to People about his years-long struggle with pornography.

He said that his growing career made the problem worse. “He said, “Success is the best place to hide, but fame made it worse!” Hollywood didn’t care. Even if you lose your family, it doesn’t care. Every day, it takes place.”

Rebecca said that the reason they chose to talk about this very private struggle in public was to inspire other people. She told the magazine, “We found that there was a whole business built around this problem because porn has become the new drug.” “It’s the new drug of choice.”

In 2016, Crews said for the first time that he had been hooked on porn. He told People via Facebook, “It was my secret, and no one knew. That let it grow, and it got worse.” He said, “If day turns into night and you are still watching, you probably have a problem, and that was me.”

He went to rehab and therapy and turned his life around after he realized that “this thing is a major, major problem.” Crews told People in 2016 that he got help not so he could get his wife back, but because he needed it. “Yes, she chose to stay with me because she knew I was sorry.”

When Did Terry And Rebecca Get Marry?

The wedding took place on July 29, 1989. We don’t know much about the wedding, but their daughter Azriel was born less than a year after the wedding, so they didn’t have much time as a family of two. After that, the Los Angeles Rams picked Terry in the NFL draught the next year. What a crazy first couple of years of marriage!

Terry And Rebecca King-Crews’ Trouble In Paradise Started Ten Years Ago

Terry King-Crews and Rebecca King-Crews got married in 1990, and for the past 30 years, they’ve been a great example of a power couple. But their marriage hasn’t been easy. In their audiobook “Stronger Together,” Terry and Rebecca talk about the problems that almost caused them to get a divorce. For example, Crews admitted to cheating on Rebecca in 2010, and he was also addicted to pornographic movies.

When the actor admitted to cheating, Rebecca told People, “It was like death,” and Terry said he “couldn’t stop crying.” Rebecca said she was going to leave, but the actor said he would make things better.

And, as he told Page Six, it helped that he didn’t listen to his single friends who told him to leave Rebecca. “There are some people in my life who are always jealous of our relationship,” he said. “They would say, ‘Oh, now you’re free, you can roll out,’ and I’d say, ‘Wait a minute, but you don’t have nobody.'”

Rebecca, meanwhile, told Page Six that one of her most important “a-ha!” moments happened at a car dealership. The mother of five went to buy a new car and said she was “ready to start over.” The salesman’s personal confession changed everything.

“He told me all about how he ended his first marriage after 20 years, how he regretted it, and how it affected his children,” she said. She took it as a sign to give Crews another chance, and now their marriage is stronger than ever.

Terry And Rebecca Have Five Children

Terry and Rebecca are happy to have five children: Naomi, Azriel, who is 31, Tera, who is 22, Wynfrey, who is 17, and Isaiah, who is 16. The Family Crews, a reality show on BET that ran for two seasons from 2010 to 2011, showed the whole family. In each episode, the seven-person Crews clan did something funny.

Terry has loved having a big family so much. In fact, in 2016, the host of America’s Got Talent said that he would love to adopt a sixth child. “I keep saying, ‘We have to wait until we’re ready,’ but when we had our own kids, we weren’t ready. It’s strange.

You can never be ready… We’re literally going to have to do it one day!” In Us Weekly, Terry said. While that was going on, Rebecca said, “We talked about it when we were first married. I had always felt like I was supposed to do it. I’d see ads in magazines and just stare at them, thinking, “One day I’ll do that.”
