The Netflix original series Young Royals has recently been released. On Thursday, July 1, 2021, Netflix debuted a brand new original series, and the show was soon renewed for a second season.

After the success of the first season, viewers are eager to know when the second series of Young Royals will be available on Netflix. As it stands, fans will have to wait for a little longer, though hopefully not too much longer.

Season 2 of Young Royals was ordered by Netflix in September of 2021, with a 2022 premiere date promised. At this point, it still has a chance to become a top release of the year.

Young Royals Season 2 Release Updates

Netflix finally picked up the second season of “Young Royals” and has promised it for 2022. It was revealed on Twitter by Netflix on July 1 that Season 2 would be available on the service sometime in November 2022.

With any luck, the teen show will premiere in early November. In our opinion, season 2 of Young Royals should premiere as soon as possible.

Young Royals Season 2 Cast Details

Even though Netflix hasn’t said who will be in season 2, we know for sure that Wilhelm and Simon will be back.

The majority of the original cast members have to be back for Season 2, right? We announced the core members of season 1’s cast that will be back for season 2:

Main

  • Edvin Ryding as Prince Wilhelm
  • Malte Gårdinger as August
  • Frida Argento as Sara
  • Nikita Uggla as Felice
  • Omar Rudberg as Simon

The Young Royals cast now includes Marcus, who is portrayed by Tommy Wättring.

Production Update on Young Royals Season 2

Young Royals season two began production in February 2022, as teased in a video featuring the show’s main characters. In a tweet sent out on May 11, Netflix said that the new episodes were done being made.

Since Netflix shows frequently take up to six months for post-production, the debut of season 2 would not occur until November 2022. The fact that filming was done before summer is a good sign, and we can expect more updates from the cast and Netflix before the show comes out.

The Young Royals Season 2 Plot

Unsurprisingly, it all starts after August releases Simon and Wilhelm’s sex tape. Wilhelm is compelled to deny that he is the man in the video since his family is pleading with him to guard the crown. To make matters worse, Wilhelm asks Simon if they might stay together in secret, to which Simon replies that he won’t be anyone’s secret. As a result, Wilhelm dumps Simon.

Season 2 will probably focus on the broader repercussions of the sex video release and how they have affected Simon and Wilhelm’s lives. Even though the two are currently estranged, we don’t believe it will last considering that the two still blatantly harbour romantic affections for one another. But it appears like we will be witnessing a little bit of a will-they-won’t-they scenario given all the outside factors keeping them apart.

In the upcoming season, we can also anticipate more drama involving August and Simon’s family, since August will be covertly dating Simon’s sister, Sara. We have a hunch that Simon and his mother, Felice, won’t be overly fond of Sarah’s new lover, given that he is the one who leaked Simon’s sex tape.

In an interview with The ANTI Magazine, Omar Rudberg, who plays Simon, indicated that a second season of Young Royals would mean the drama “steps up to another level.”

When asked what would happen, he admitted to the source at the time, “I genuinely don’t know.” “But I feel like there is a lot that is going to happen if you watch the series and consider what it exposes about the people at the end of the series. If there were a season two—which I sincerely hope there is—I believe it would be fantastic. The drama is intensifying and is about to become out of control.

Where Can I Watch Season Two of Young Roars?

Young Royals is a Netflix original, so it can only be found there. This means that, like season 1, you can only watch Young Royals season 2 on Netflix.
