One of the first people to learn of Jeffrey  Dahmer, America’s most dangerous serial killer, was Glenda Cleveland. Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” a brand-new  Netflix series, takes a closer look at his horrible deeds. Glenda Cleveland, who noticed Jeffrey’s peculiar conduct and eventually had a significant role in the events, is introduced in the first episode. Keep reading to learn more about her.

Glenda Cleveland Is No Longer Heard…

The Milwaukee Monster victim, Glenda Cleveland, who lived next door to Jeffrey, was the first to identify him as a serial killer. Glenda Cleveland in “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” on Netflix asks Jeffrey, “I saw you go out in the dumpster and dump a large load of terrible meat, so the smell should be gone by now,” after hearing some strange noises coming from the vent.

Then Jeffrey says, “Mm. Oh. My tropical fish perished because of a sickness called ich, which I completely forgot about. Glenda realized then that something was awry. Glenda later became the first person to repeatedly phone the police to report what had happened in the apartment, but her calls were ignored.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Glenda placed the initial call on May 27, 1991, while her daughter and niece were crossing the street. She described how they witnessed a little boy named Konerak Sinthasonphone (14), who was bleeding severely, fleeing from Jeffrey. They arrived at the scene after making many calls to the police.

The police, however, believed it to be a “domestic argument,” despite Jeffrey’s telling the authorities that they were dating. He also admitted that Konerak was his partner of 19 years, but the police felt no need to confirm this. Hydrochloric acid was injected into Konerak’s brain by Dahmer as the police departed, and it ultimately proved fatal. He dissected his body the following day but kept his head. On the same day, he also victimized Hughes, another person.

The authorities could have prevented the loss of numerous innocent lives if they had taken Glenda’s words seriously. After being apprehended in 1992, Dahmer received a 16-year life sentence. By that point, the cannibal and sex criminals had killed and dismembered 17 men and boys.

On November 28, 1994, a fellow prisoner named Christopher Scarver shot and killed Jeffrey Dahmer there. He was discovered on the restroom floor that morning with severe head injuries from being struck by a hefty metal rod. Many people saw this as true justice since Jeffrey was spared the death penalty for his horrible acts. As a matter of fact, Wisconsin abolished the death sentence in 1853.

In an interview, Nash stated that Cleveland should be treated with more respect for lowering him low. She deserved far more than a meager plaque in the corner of some social hall. She deserved a lot more than for the cops to approach her and point out what they had done. “Look at what we attempted,” Nash continued.

Glenda passed away on December 24, 2010, at the age of 56. She was reportedly given a heart illness and a high blood pressure diagnosis.
