Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback, has announced his retirement from the NFL after 23 seasons. In a video shared on Twitter on Wednesday, Brady, 45, said, “I’ll get to the point right away.”

“I’m retiring for good. I know the process was a big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d press record and let you guys know first. It won’t be long-winded. You only get one super-emotional retirement essay; I used mine last year.”

Additionally, the seven-time Super Bowl champion expressed gratitude to his family, friends, colleagues, and opponents for their support throughout his successful career.

Brady will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2028.
