While searching for Conny’s body outside the orphanage’s gate, they realise they’ve been reared in this gorgeous orphanage for no other reason than to be demon meat. Despite their best efforts, Emma and Norman are unable to depart Grace Field House with the children because of Norman’s disappearance. Some of Emma and Ray’s older siblings then decide to go with the younger children, leaving just half of the younger ones.

Escapees learn that life beyond Grace Field House is full of hazards, but they are fueled by the leadership of Emma and Ray to return to save their surviving siblings, as well as youngsters from other farms, from the same fate. Demons of many shapes and sizes help them on their journey, including Mujika and Sonju. With their friends, Emma and Ray confront the demon queen Legravalima and the human Peter Ratri, who runs Farms, in a quest for freedom. For all of the children, Emma gains their release and returns “The Promise,” but at the cost of her own recollection of what happened.
