Some may be surprised to learn that an adult cartoon depicting a Dungeons and Dragons quest is one of the most popular new television series out of all of the major new television series. Critical Role fans, on the other hand, who have been following the development of The Legend of Vox Machina project from the beginning aren’t as surprised. They do, however, want to know whether or not the revolutionary series will be renewed for a second season.
As a fundraising effort among the Critical Role team and its fans — which now includes their 10 million Twitch followers — the Legend of Vox Machina got its start. As a result, the series’s long-term viability and success have always been a big question mark for the audience. Even if every Critical Role fan decided to watch the Amazon Prime series, would it be able to attract a large enough audience to justify the production of a second season?
The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2 Release Date
But don’t worry, everything will be fine. While we have no idea how far the animated series will take Vox Machina on her journey, we do know that there will be a second season.
It can be summarised as follows: after the initial fundraising campaign for The Legend of Vox Machina broke Kickstarter’s record for the most-funded film or television project of all time, production companies began to show an interest in the show. Amazon reacted quickly to the prospect of a show with a pre-existing audience that could attract more subscribers to their service.
@matthewmercer I don't know what the plans are for season 2 of Vox Machina, but I'd like to see it include going to Vasselheim for the slayers take, and the pyra for Keyleths Aramenté. Then end the season with the introduction to the chroma conclave. Since episode 2 hinted at it.

Kickstarter had set a $750,000 fundraising goal for a 22-minute animated special, which was successfully achieved. However, within an hour, the Critical Role team had already surpassed its goal, and they were able to raise a total of $11.39 million from 88,887 backers, surpassing their original target.
The team had originally planned to create ten episodes, but Amazon Prime changed their minds.
The Legend of Vox Machina was destined for two seasons of excellence from the get-go, and this was confirmed by the first episode (and could be destined for even more). Critical Role’s Sam Riegel (the voice of Scanlan) and Travis Wallingham (the voice of Grog) released a joint statement in which they stated:
As a result of the simultaneous ordering of both seasons of The Legend of Vox Machina, it is very likely that Season 2 production is nearing completion, if not already completed.
Okay Critters- I know many of us love American Treasure Brendan Fraser. Who do we think he could Voice in season 2 of Legend of Vox Machina??? @CriticalRole he would be a delight! And I honestly think he’d have so much fun!!!

While television seasons are typically released once a year, it’s possible that The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2 will premiere at some point in 2022, if not sooner. It’s possible that the release date will be revealed once we learn whether or not there will be a Season 3.

The Legend of Vox Machina Sales and Profit
Members of the cast attempted to pitch the series to a few different production companies but were unsuccessful in their efforts. A crowdfunding campaign was decided upon, and they reached out to animation studio Titmouse, Inc. to create a teaser trailer for the campaign. The Kickstarter campaign for The Legend of Vox Machina began on March 4th, 2019, and will run for 45 days (ending on April 18th, 2019 at 11:59 pm). A 22-minute animated special was the original goal, according to the project’s vision. Within 45 minutes of the campaign’s launch, the $750,000 goal had been surpassed, and the $1,000,000 goal had been reached within an hour of the campaign’s launch. After the first day, $3.0 million had been raised, exceeding all of the stretch goals that the team had set for themselves. Within a few days, The Legend of Vox Machina surpassed all another film/animation projects on Kickstarter to become the most funded film/animation project on the platform. It eventually raised $11,385,449, ranking it as the 5th most funded project on Kickstarter at the time, with 88,887 backers contributing to its success.
The Kickstarter Campaign End Party was held to commemorate the completion of the Kickstarter campaign and to express gratitude to the Critters for their love and support. The cast was joined by special guest Joel Hodgson of Mystery Science Theater 3000 for the event.
