That ’90s Show: The Plot
Netflix gave us the official summary of the series:
Hello, Wisconsin! It’s 1995, and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer, where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red. Sex, drugs, and rock n roll never die; it changes clothes.
The 1995 sequel series follows Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, as she spends the summer with her grandparents after the original That 1970s Show ended in a tear-jerking manner as the 1980s began.
When Leia arrives at Red and Kitty’s house in Point Place, Wisconsin, she soon forms bonds with a new generation of children.
Leia feels right at home with Gwen’s pals, including her brother Nate, his girlfriend Nikki, the caustic Ozzie, and the charming Jay, as they embark on their own mishaps.
Where Will That ’90s Show Take Place?
Similar to its predecessor, the new series will be set in Wisconsin, although it is still being determined whether Kitty and Red will stay in the Forman family house in the fictional little town of Point Place. We want to see Leia follow in her parent’s footsteps to the good old Forman basement, Point Place High, and popular after-school hangout The Hub, where numerous french fry fights and beloved stand-up comedian Mitch Hedberg delivered deadpan jokes over the counter.
The little village “where nothing ever occurs” inspired the original gang to go out and go on adventures, disobeying their parents as they matured. Point Place would provide an excellent opportunity for Leia, and her friends to visit punk rock clubs and hip-hop concerts on their own, as well as possibly revisit her parents’ graffiti on the water tower where Eric proposed (and was consequently made to wear the stupid helmet).
