“Respect Selena Gomez” goes trending after ‘Selenators’ criticise ‘The Good Fight’ for mocking her kidney transplant

It is no joke when it comes to our physical and mental well-being and some tough times that we’ve been through to cope with such ailments.

Well, here’s this television show ‘The Good Fight’ that is about to find itself in deep waters of trouble, for passing an insensitive comment on popstar Selena Gomez’s traumatic life moment.

The show made fun of Selena’s kidney transplant surgery that she underwent in June 2017, in one of it’s recent episodes.

Just as it mocked the lady’s surgery, several dedicated fans, aka Selenators’ took to Twitter to flood the microblogging site with truckloads of massages, all spewing hate and criticism for this inhumane act.

When it comes to the ‘Lose you to Love Me’ singer, there is no stopping by her fans, as they are the most dedicated ones for an artist to be blessed with and would be ready to rage a war any day against those who spread negativity against the queen.

The Paramount+ legal drama depicted a discussion among the lead characters, talking about how today’s society can’t tolerate a bit of insensitivity and the rise of cancel culture.

Jay speaks,”need a permission slip to tell a joke,” to which another character Jim hops in listing restricted topics starting with “Necrophilia?” to which Marissa replies, “No, that could be funny.”

It is when Jay further says “Autism”, Jim again hops in saying “Selena Gomez’s kidney transplant.”

Reacting to this, one fan tweeted, “It’s honestly disgusting to me that television shows these days target Selena Gomez’s Kidney Transplant. First, the ‘Saved by the Bell’ reboot, now ‘The Good Fight’? When will these show writers stop making fun of the queen, icon, & role model? So devastating.”
