2K will release several important sports titles in the coming months, including NBA 2K23. The publisher announced the October 11 release date for PGA Tour 2K23 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
Both the deluxe and Tiger Woods editions will be released on that day. On October 14th, 2K will release the standard edition.
Since 2K hired Woods as an executive director and consultant for HB Studios last year, this is the first PGA Tour game developed with his involvement.
One of the most accomplished golfers of all time, Woods was also the featured player in EA Sports’ golf video games for a decade and a half.
2K has announced that the basic edition of PGA Tour 2K23 will be available on October 14, while the Deluxe and Tiger Woods editions will be available on October 11.
The game is an ode to Tiger Woods, who has not been featured on a video game cover since Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 in 2013. The golfing legend was also brought in as an executive director to help ensure the game’s success.

PGA Tour is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and Steam. The Michael Jordan downloadable content (yes, the NBA player) and 1,300 virtual currency (VC) (about $5) are included in the Deluxe Edition, as is “cross-generation dual-entitlement,” which means a copy of the game on both PS4 and PS5, or both Xbox One and Series.
It also includes a gold baseball cap, a gold glove, and three rare consumable gold sleeves in addition to the hockey stick putter, gold baseball cap, and gold glove.
Only available digitally, the Tiger Woods Edition adds Woods’ signature red polo and black slacks, a one-of-a-kind gold ball, belt, three Epic consumable gold sleeves, and more to the Deluxe Edition’s already extensive cosmetic offerings.
Although 2K has not revealed prices for the various editions, they have announced the Clubhouse Pass, which appears to be based on the Battle Pass progression system. They will have three tiers (the free regular tier, the $9.99 Premium tier, and the $19.99 Premium Plus tier). Preordering the base PGA Tour 2K23 game grants early access to the Michael Jordan downloadable content.
In addition to Woods, 14 male and female professional golfers will be playable in PGA Tour 2K23 upon release. These include Justin Thomas, Lexi Thompson, Tony Finau, Lydia Ko, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, and Brooke Henderson. 2K has also announced that free downloadable content will expand this roster in the future.

Twenty licensed courses are available at launch, including the South Course at Wilmington Country Club, The Renaissance Club, St. George’s Golf and Country Club, and more. The custom course builder is also coming back, so you may design your own courses and play others that other gamers have built.
According to IGN’s 7/10 review of the previous game, “PGA Tour 2K21 delivers the most flexible and enjoyable game of golf since the Tiger Woods series was at its peak.” EA Sports PGA Tour, a standalone PGA Tour game, is set for release in 2023.
When EA owned the PGA Tour and Tiger Woods licenses, the series was often rebranded as Tiger Woods PGA Tour. Now, Electronic Arts aim to revive the series. In 2015, Electronic Arts released Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, its lone golf game without Tiger Woods.
The first official PGA Tour game was developed by 2K Games and launched in 2020. It should be no surprise that Woods can be controlled in PGA Tour 2K23.
Additional professionals, including Justin Thomas, Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, and Brooke Henderson, are available right away as well. Extras are on the way.
Twenty pre-existing courses have been licensed for use, and you can also design your own. Topgolf is one of the new casual game modes available, where players hit targets while aiming for a high score.
Tournaments and whole seasons can be created and played with friends online. In addition, there is post-launch material accessible via a Clubhouse Pass (with both free and premium tiers).

The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions, or the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions, are included in both the deluxe and digital-only Tiger Woods editions. Virtual cash and cosmetics are two other forms of additional content.

Take-Two made a lot of golf fans happy when they released the trailer for PGA Tour 2K23. The trailer also showed when the game would come out. Not only that, but pre-orders for the game started at the same time, at 8 a.m. ET/1 p.m. BST on Monday, August 22.
