Jim Belushi, who is the younger brother of comic actor John Belushi and the father of actor Robert Belushi has filed for divorce from his wife.

Jim and his wife Jennifer Sloan first tied the knot in May of 1998. The TV actor filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, Aug. 6, Fox News confirmed.

However, it’s unclear what the reason for the divorce is. It is also interesting to note that this isn’t the first time the pair have filed for divorce. Jennifer Sloan filed for divorce from Belushi back in March 2018.

Though, the split was never finalized, however, as the two reconciled. As per TMZ, Belushi requested that his wife’s divorce filing be dismissed, which a judge approved. The reason for Jennifer to file for divorce was cited as “irreconcilable differences” when she filed in 2018.

The TV actor and his wife Sloan share two adult children: daughter Jamison; and son Jared.

However, this isn’t Jim Belushi’s first divorce. Belushi has been married three times.

Previously he was married to Marjorie Bransfield in the early ‘90s and Sandra Davenport in the late ’80s. He married Sandra Davenport in 1980 who gave birth to his son, Robert James in the same year. Belushi and Davenport divorced in 1988.

Jim Belushi then married actress Marjorie Bransfield in 1990 and the pair parted ways in 1992.
