Legendary Soccer Player Pele, Passed Away

Kely Nascimento, the daughter of Pele, who has supplied updates on her father’s condition from the hospital, stated on Instagram:  “Everything we are is thanks to you. We love you infinitely. Rest in peace.”

World Mourns Legendary Icon: Pele’s Cause of Death Revealed

The world is mourning the passing of the greatest soccer player, Pele. The legendary Brazilian player passed away after a hard fight against a colon tumor found in September 2021. A range of chemotherapies was employed to treat his illness.

Recent medical studies indicate that kidney and cardiac difficulties in his body led to his admission to intensive care and, presumably, his death. Although the official reasons for their death have yet to be determined, it is currently known that he died due to complications from colon cancer that had affected him for a year.

According to Sao Paulo’s Albert Einstein hospital, Pele died at 3:27 p.m.

“due to various organ failures stemming from the advancement of colon cancer related with his previous medical condition.” 

Over the past year, Pelé had been in and out of the hospital as he battled colon cancer. In November, Albert Einstein Hospital stated that he received palliative care for his cancer. In December 2021, the soccer star was hospitalized after chemotherapy to address an alleged colon tumor.

Over the past year, Pelé has rejected health concerns and continued to express gratitude to his supporters. On Instagram, he shared that he was recovering.

“Dear friends, it’s been a while since we talked about this. I want to let you know that I’m fine. I feel better every day. I don’t think even the mask for my protection can hide my happiness. Thank you very much to all of you who send me good energy daily,” he wrote in a November 2021 post on Instagram.

The Brazilian football legend Pele is a name that will forever be remembered for his extraordinary career and tremendous impact on the football world. Known as one of the greatest players to ever grace the game, he made an indelible mark in Brazil and globally. 

The Brazilian government has announced three days of mourning following Pele’s passing. According to the Associated Press, the club stated that the public would be able to pay their condolences at Vila Belmiro Stadium.

Santos stated that the star’s coffin would depart the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo early Monday morning and be placed in the center of the pitch. The AP said that visitation would begin on Monday at 10 a.m., and His relatives will attend his private funeral service.

President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Bolsonaro’s successor, stated on Twitter that “few Brazilians carried the name of our country as far as he did.”

President Emmanuel Macron of France stated that Pele’s legacy would last forever. “The game. The king. Eternity,” Macron tweeted.
