The true storey of infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson is told in the film Godfather of Harlem, which tells the true storey of Johnson’s return from ten years in prison to find the neighbourhood he once ruled in shambles in the early 1960s. Bumpy must take on the Genovese crime family in order to regain control of the streets, which have been taken over by the Italian mob.
