Koyoharu Gotouge is the manga artist that developed Demon Slayer. From February 2016 to May 2020, it was serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump. Ufotable created the animation for the first two seasons of the animated series and the feature adaptation is scheduled for release in 2020. Haruo Sotozaki and Akira Matsushima are returning as the show’s director and main animation director, respectively, for the upcoming season.

It’s finally here: the first trailer for the upcoming Arc in the famous anime series Demon Slayer, the Swordsmith Village Arc. If nothing else, this teaser helps to generate anticipation for the new season. On February 20th, the previous Entertainment District Arc came to an end after 11 episodes.

They had just vanquished Gyutaro and Daki, the Upper Moon 6 pair, in an unparalleled battle for the series thus far when viewers last saw our beloved demon slayers. Tengen Uzui (Katsuyuki Konishi), although having to retire from the Demon Slayer Corps due to his injuries, managed to survive the confrontation.

Demon Slayer season 3: Swordsmith Village Arc release date speculation

We don’t know when the third season of Demon Slayer will come out yet, but we can expect it to come out in 2023. In the COVID era, getting that done so quickly would be almost impossible. That could mean that a Spring release (around April 2023) or a Fall release (September-October 2023) could be possible.

Since the show is made by an animation studio called Ufotable, it usually does an excellent job at being consistent with its work. Demon Slayer came out in the fall of 2019. The Mugen Train movie will come to Japan in the fall of 2020, and then to the rest of the world. In Fall 2021, the Mugen Train recap arc for TV started. I don’t know if Ufotable can do anything that is impossible, but if anyone can do it, it’s Ufotable.

Demon Slayer season 3 story: What arc is it adapting?

The Swordsmith Village Arc is now the third season of Demon Slayer. Although we won’t go into detail about the manga’s chapters 100-127, be assured that we won’t reveal anything about the show’s plot. With a comparable age range (70-99) as Entertainment District Arc, a 12-episode season is expected, give or take a few episodes.

Tanjiro should proceed to Swordsmith Village to procure a new weapon unless there are any noteworthy exceptions. Even better news: There’s an antique weapon in town. The narrative that involves the Love and Mist Hashiras, as well as perhaps a demon or two, is far from straightforward.

In a larger sense, the show’s conclusion in the Entertainment District hinted at the direction it would likely follow after season 3 of Demon Slayer. However, Tengen is still alive and well. In a conversation with Iguro, he recommended that Tanjiro be the man to succeed Hashira. Muzan Kibutsuji is the final target for the Demon Slayers to strike back against from there.
