‘Dear Evan Hansen’, ‘Clifford the Big Red Dog’, and ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ make an entry to Toronto Film Festival screenings

As it was earlier announced that movies such as “Petite Maman“, psychological thriller ” Last Night in Soho”, “Alanis Morissette documentary by HBO as well coming-of-age movie “Belfast” have been scheduled to screen at the 46th annual film festival, movies such as ‘Dear Evan Hansen‘, ‘Clifford the Big Red Dog’, and ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ are a recent addition to the list.

It was also relieved by the festival’s organizers that ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ which is a movie version of a Broadway show will open the 2021 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival and Chinese director Zhang Yimou’s “One Second” will close the festival. “One Second” the movie follows the story of a man who escapes a labour camp just for a glance of his daughter is described as “a love letter in cinema.”

This film festival will also hold a special presentation of “Dune” which is an adaptation of Frank herbert’s sci-fi novel. The is set to have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. In addition films such as Will Sharpe’s “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain” and kids movies “Clifford the Big Red Dog”, and “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” are set to be screened.

Due to Covid-19 last years film festival was held virtually. However, in 2021 the event is to be held in-person as well as digitally for those people who aren’t able to travel to Canada. The Toronto Film Festival will take place from 9th September to 18th September.
