Courteney Cox says “That’s not exactly the Emmy I was looking for” after being nominated for ‘FRIENDS’

Everyone can have differences in opinion but we all can agree that ‘Friends’ is THE show of all time.  And it’s still being watched even though it’s been 17 years since its last episode.

And the much-awaited Friends reunion, finally made it on television back in May on HBO Max! Not only did the reunion awoke some very nostalgic memories but it recently made Courteney Cox receive an Emmy nomination, along with the rest of the cast Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer as executive producers in the Outstanding Variety Special category.

Courteney Cox, who played Monica on the show finally receive the well-deserved nomination she always wanted, as she was the only cast member without one. Back in June, during an appearance on the Sirius XM show, the Cougar Town star shared her true feelings on the matter.  “Yeah, it always hurt my feelings, When every single cast member was nominated but me, it definitely hurt my feelings. I was happy for everybody, and then when it was finally like, ‘Oh, I’m the only one?’ It hurt.” Courteney admitted.

Courteney also recently told Entertainment Weekly, “Honestly, I am so happy that the reunion has been recognized because I think it’s terrific, Ben Winston [director of the reunion] did a great job and all of his crew.”

However, the nomination she received was not the one she quite hoped for. She admitted to EW, “That’s not exactly the Emmy I was looking for, I’m being honest with you.”

Now everyone’s eyes are on the Emmy Awards to see who wins, who makes history and more.
