Move over Pokémon, there’s a new catch-’em-all craze on the way to the Nintendo Switch in the form of Coromon, an original series from developer TRAGsoft that will launch very soon. Obviously, this new title has a lot in common with the original monster taming franchise, which is to be expected. However, it does more than enough to distinguish itself as a unique experience, and one that is ideal for those who prefer a challenge to a stroll through the park with a Pikachu on their shoulders.
With the recently announced release date for Coromon, we’re looking forward to catching monsters, battling bad guys, and exploring a whole new world of adventure. The game includes everything you would expect from a monster taming game, but Coromon also goes above and beyond to impress fans of the genre, including multiple difficulties, a randomizer tool to mix up the gameplay, and even a Nuzlocke mode for the most dedicated Coromon trainers.
Those looking for something to whet their appetites while they await Coromon should look no further than our guides to the most recent genre godfather, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which include Pokémon Legends: Arceus mystery gift codes, Pokémon Legends: Arceus evolution items, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus grit. Nuzlocke mode, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is a fan-made format for the Pokémon games that is intended to increase the difficulty by only allowing one catch per area, requiring all wild battles to be completed, and eliminating any monsters that lose in the battle for the remainder of the run. The concept has never been embraced by Game Freak, but the team behind Coromon is doing an excellent job with it. We believe the community will also agree with this approach.
