Clerks 3 Will Be Released in 2022 – Know Confirmed Release Date Status, Cast, & Other Updates
There was a lot of buzz behind Clerks when it premiered at Sundance in 2012. The characters in Clerks embodied the hopelessness and pessimism of average individuals trying to build a better life for themselves and their families. In 2022, ComicBook.com reports that the third installment in the saga will be released.
As Clerks 3 is a sequel to his very first picture, it is a sort of full-circle moment for Kevin Smith. With a 2022 release date in mind for the film at Lionsgate, it appears that Smith has been hard at work reducing it down. “Just a little over a half-hour to go now. The opening scene was almost like a music video before I added the title “On the most recent edition of Fatman Beyond Live, Smith commented.
Clerks 3 Release Date Confirmed
Clerks 3 is expected to be released by Lionsgate in mid to late 2022, according to Smith’s estimate. I don’t think the rest of the world will notice it for a while.” The year 2021 is clearly out of the question “he stated. “I’m guessing sometime in the second half of 2022. Assuming we’ll be done by then, I have no idea what’s going to happen.”

Smith’s loyal admirers are ecstatic about this new album. In 1994, he made his directorial debut with the black-and-white feature Clerks, which he based on his own experience working at a Quick Stop convenience store in Leonardo, New Jersey. Smith plays both Silent Bob and his stoner pal Jay in the film, as well as writing and directing it alongside close friend Jay Mewes. Brian O’Halloran and Jeff Anderson also acted in the film as the titular clerks.

Clerks 3 PLOT
When Dante and Randal were originally introduced in Clerks (1994), they were working in a convenience store and a video store, respectively, which were both monotonous and dead ends. Twelve years later, the pair was spotted working in a Mooby’s fast food restaurant, as depicted in Clerks 2. Clerks 3 will, if it follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, feature Dante and Randal working in yet another low-paying area of the retail service business. The specifics of what they’ll be doing and how they’ll be doing it will remain a well guarded secret.
“It’ll be a film that brings a tale to a close. It’ll be a film about how you’re never too old to make a complete 180-degree turn in your life “Smith shared his thoughts on Instagram. “It’ll be a film about how a friendship that has spanned decades ultimately confronts the future,” he continued, most likely alluding to the central Clerks relationship of Dante and Randal’s friendship in the series. Thematic inspirations for the film are believed to have come from Smith’s 2018 heart attack as well as his long-standing friendship with Jason Mewes, according to the evidence.
In addition to the above-mentioned clue, Kevin Smith’s Instagram post provided the following information about Clerks 3 (which should come as no surprise given his proud Jersey boy status): In the words of the director, “It will be a film that takes us back to the beginning, to the cradle of civilization in the wonderful state of NewJersey.”
Clerks 3 Cast
Rosario Dawson and Trevor Fehrman were added to the cast of Clerks 2 in 2006. Kevin Smith had been hoping for years to produce a third film, but it wasn’t until August that filming on the project finally began. Filming at the Quick Stop, Randal and Dante (Jeff Anderson and Brian O’Halloran) will mirror Smith’s real-life filmmaking at the Quick Stop. Among the returning cast members are Smith, Mewes, Ghigliotti, Dawson, Fehrman, and Mewes. Clerks 3, according to Smith, will be released in 2022.
clerks 3 budget
A $27,000 budget resulted in a gross of $3.1 million. Despite the fact that the sequel was not as highly reviewed as to its predecessor, which became a cult classic, it was a more successful commercial venture. Clerks II had a $5 million budget and generated more than $26 million in its first year of release. Recently, the filmmaker has kept himself occupied with many projects.
