1. Mary Ann Castle: The Beginning of Love with His First Wife

Carl Weathers entered the entertainment industry in 1973 and wed Mary Ann Castle, his first wife, the same year. Put another way, the year the pair tied the knot coincided with his breakthrough performance in the entertainment business with Magnum Force.

The ex-couple dated for ten years and had two sons together. But they decided to split up in 1983. His debut motion picture role was in the neo-noir action picture from 1973. In February 1984, less than a year after divorcing Ann Castle, he wed Rhona Unsell again.

2. Rhona Unsell: Moving Forward with his Second Wife

Carl Weathers, a native of Louisiana, did not stay unmarried for very long after his initial divorce. One year later, on February 20, 1984, the late star married his second wife, Rhona Unsell.

Though not much is known about her, the former couple was married for over 20 years before separating in 2006. At that point in his career, the late actor was a true Hollywood superstar, having acted in three Rocky pictures.

He additionally made appearances in Starsky & Hutch and Barnaby Jones episodes prior to his second marriage. Weathers was married three times; his marriage to Rhona lasted the longest. In 2006, after 22 years of marriage, they decided to get divorced. Weathers and Unsell were married for an extended period, but they never had kids.

3. Jennifer Peterson: The Short-Lived Marriage

Ultimately, and maybe most significantly, Jennifer Peterson married Carl Weathers in March of 2007, a year after his second divorce. When the former pair got married, the latter was already in the prime of his acting career. That’s when he started to value television appearances over film parts, a habit he would maintain right up until the end of his life.

According to her IMDb profile, Peterson is an award-winning writer, director, and producer of creative material. She went to the Women’s AFI Directing Workshop as well. Her projects include the Hallmark television series American Rescue Dog Show and the 2000 short film Pumpkin Hill.

Sadly, they decided to dissolve their marriage after only two years; therefore, it did not survive long. Neither Peterson nor the Toy Story actor had any children of their own.
