It’s been nearly two years since Blood and Treasure’s last 12 episodes, which aired from May to August of 2019, aired on CBS. When it comes to terrorists funding their assaults with looted artefacts, the show brings together an antiquities expert and an art thief. Three worldwide cities served as substitutes for Europe, Africa and the Caribbean while filming the Indiana Jones-style series over 150 days in the US and Canada. (via the Las Vegas Review-Journal). This makes the programme particularly challenging to film amid a worldwide epidemic.
Although the series (fortunately for eager viewers) managed to tie up many plot loose ends in 12 episodes, people still want to know what happens to the main characters’ adventures next, even if they have to wait a little longer. Viewers want more because they want to keep the adrenaline pumping as long as possible.. Although a second season is unquestionably on the way, no specific date has been announced. After a brief period of speculation, here is all we know so far about Blood and Treasure’s second season.

When is the release date of Blood and Treasure season 2?
The programme has been off the air since its first season aired in May of 2019, which is more than two years ago.
Due to how much time has passed since season 1, it’s highly feasible season 2 might be released in January or February 2022 based on the current schedule. Since the Wikipedia page for the series now lists the titles of all the episodes in the second season, we know that the second season will be released shortly.
Blood & Treasure season 2 might, theoretically, be released in May of 2022, if the season premiere date is the same as it was for the first season. To be sure, we’ll have to wait for an official announcement, but until then, we can only speculate. I’m hoping for some good news soon.
To pass the time until the second season of Blood & Treasure airs on CBS, you can watch the first season on Paramount+ or purchase it on Amazon Video.

The cast of Blood and Treasure season 2
Almost everyone of the original cast is set to return for Season 2. In the first season of the show, Matt Barr plays Danny McNamara, an ex-FBI agent who is now a lawyer specialised in the return of stolen artwork. Stella Pernas portrays the art thief Lexi Vaziri, who links up with Danny. This is Simon Hardwick, who was saved by Danny. James Callis portrays the smuggler. This season’s cast includes Katia Winter as Interpol agent Gwen Karlsson, Oded Fehr as Egyptian terrorist Karim Farouk, Dr. Ana Castillo as Danny’s tutor, and Father Chuck as Danny’s old friend and mentor, Mark Gagliardi.
Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds) was cast as a recurrent character in the second season (via Deadline). A Roman nun with a “sly sense of humour,” Sister Lisa, is best friends with Father Chuck on the show. Sister Lisa is apparently a go-to person for the priest when he needs information. Aside from that, it’s still unknown whether or not some of the actors that played the series’ antagonists will return.

Blood And Treasure Season 2 Plot
Season 1 of Blood and Treasure ended abruptly. Fans were left with a lot of doubts once the first season finished.
Blood and Treasure is supposed to shed light on the last scene’s meaning. The Queen returns in the second-to-last season of Blood and Treasure, and she brings with her a slew of new and frightening enemies.
In Blood and Treasure, Matt Barr’s Danny is going to get more of the spotlight. His character was well-liked by the crowd. The writers deserve all the credit for this. They came up with a fascinating persona and a captivating plot.
Blood and Treasure starts with a bright antiquities specialist and an art thief at its core. They join up to track down a violent terrorist who finances his assaults with looted wealth in this action-adventure drama. They find themselves in the middle of a 2,000-year-old fight over the cradle of civilisation while searching for their objective.
Danny’s life takes numerous unexpected turns from that point onwards in the novel. Keeping Danny in the spotlight and following a similar plot arc would make the drama even more compelling for viewers. In addition, the 11th episode of Blood and Treasure is scheduled to focus on the return of the Queen.
