It is brought to us by the team that won an award for starting Downton Abbey. It depends on Julian Fellowes’s best-selling book of the same name, which he also made into a movie. The renewal was announced along with the news that cable network Epix would change its name to MGM+ and give the go-ahead to several new shows, including the second season of Belgravia.

Belgravia Season 2: Plot

According to Deadline, the new series, called Belgravia: The Next Chapter, will pick up 25 years after the events of the first series, in 1865. It will tell the story of Frederick Trenchard, who has grown up and become the third Lord Glanville. He doesn’t know that he was born because his mother, Susan, had an affair with the crook John Bellasis.

Fellowes and Neames will serve as executive producers alongside Carnival’s Nigel Marchant and Joanna Strevens. Helen Edmundson is the showrunner and executive producer of the series. John Alexander (Small Island) is the original series’s lead director and executive producer. The original series’ producer, Colin Wratten (Killing Eve), will return as producer. Michael Wright, president of EPIX, stated that, 

“With its cinematic scope, emotionally engaging story, and brilliant production design that brings the period to life, “Belgravia: The Next Chapter” is an immersive story that will keep viewers riveted.
