Battlegrounds Season 3 Announced: Big Reveals Ahead!

Welcome to the third Season of Hearthstone Battlegrounds, an ever-evolving and exciting world of strategic card play! Hearthstone Battlegrounds is a turn-based strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment that pits eight players against each other to see who can build the strongest team. This Season brings a new set of heroes, minions, and powerful artifacts to the battlegrounds and new strategies to explore.

Announcing Battlegrounds Season 3!

The next Battlegrounds Season has just been published on the official Blizzard blog, so the wait is nearly over! Hearthstone has announced that the third season of their Battlegrounds game mode will be launching on January 17, 2023.  

Alongside the new Season Pass, which had been made available for pre-purchase in the weeks prior, the next major update for the game mode also promises to replace the current Rewards Track with a new one. Let’s begin with an occasion-specific trailer:

In the coming days, Blizzard will unveil additional information about Season 3, including minion cards, reveals, a deep look into the new hero, a balancing update and developer interview, and even more interviews leading up to the weekend. A season 3 preview event will be held on January 12 from 9 a.m. PT to 3 p.m. PT (11 p.m. UK), pitting teams from all around the world against one another, with 15 season passes awarded to each member of the winning team.

New Undead and Dual-Type Minions

Season 3 of Hearthstone Battlegrounds will introduce 32 new minions, including 16 new undead and 11 new dual-type minions, as announced by the game’s creator. “While the Undead revolves around death effects like Reborn and Deathrattle, Dual-type minions have synergies with two different minion types simultaneously.”

Here is the official season 3 information

On January 17, Battlegrounds Season 2 will end, and Season 3 will begin. Players will then switch over and earn rewards on the new Season 3 Battlegrounds Track. Any rewards already earned from the Season 2 Battlegrounds Track but still need to be claimed will be automatically declared.

The Battle for Silvermoon has spilled into Battlegrounds for Season 3! This Battlegrounds Track includes chilling new Scourge-themed and fiery new Silvermoon-themed cosmetics. Pick up the Season Pass to instantly get +2 Hero options at the start of each game, unlock all stages of the new Silvermoon Legendary Strike along the Track, and earn up to 15 additional Hero Skins throughout the Season.

Celebrate the New Season with Battlegrounds Twitch Drops!

From January 17 at 10:00 a.m. to January 23 at 11:59 p.m., Observe any Hearthstone Twitch stream for one hour to receive the new Lightkeeper Xyrella Epic Battlegrounds Skin. Your Twitch and Battle.net accounts must be linked for your viewing time to count toward drops.
