‘Barbie’ Movie Set To Air In July 21, 2023: Plot, Cast Updates & Many More Details

If you’ve been on Twitter in the last few weeks, you know it’s impossible to avoid the eye-catching leaks from the set of Greta Gerwig’s latest movie, Barbie, which she and her partner Noah Baumbach wrote. Everything from Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling rollerblading in bright, ’80s-style clothes to photos of the cast to Ryan Gosling’s platinum blonde hair, which is said to be cursed. We’ve seen everything, but we haven’t seen nearly enough. But we won’t know what happens until the movie comes out in theaters next year. We’ve put together everything you need to know about the movie about Barbie until then.

‘Barbie’ Movie Release Date:

Warner Bros. has said that the movie will come out on July 21, 2023.

Who Is In The Cast?

Besides Robbie, who will play the title role, and Gosling, we can expect a very strong cast. From what we know so far, Gosling will play Ken, who will be played by Robbie. But there are rumors that he may not be the only Ken in the movie, and Robbie may not be the only Barbie.

Here is a list of some of the other people who will be in the movie, but we don’t know what their roles will be: Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, N’Cuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey (who, by the way, looks freakishly like Robbie), America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, Michael Cera, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Rhea Perlman, Emerald Fennell, Sharon Rooney, Ariana Greenblatt, and Jamie Demetriou.

It is also said that Saoirse Ronan and Dua Lipa will be in the movie. Ronan and Gerwig have worked together before on “Little Women” in 2019 and “Lady Bird” in 2017, so it’s not surprising that the Irish actress would show up.

What Is The Plot‘Barbie’ Movie?

We can’t be sure of this. Since filming has only just begun, a trailer has yet to come. We do know, though, that there will be some twists and that the movie probably won’t be a simple, fluffy one like Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse.

Margot confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that we can expect to see something other than what we expect.

“People immediately think, ‘Oh, Margot is playing Barbie, I know what that is,'” she said. “But our goal is to be like, ‘Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different — the thing you didn’t know you wanted.'”

Simu Liu told GQ that the movie will not be a musical before running off to dance rehearsals, maybe for Barbie. He does hint, though, that the movie is a “wild,” and “incredibly unique.”

“I wish I could just show you what we do day-to-day because it’s crazy,”
