Paramount has offered an exclusive first look at Taylor Sheridan’s (Yellowstone, 1883) forthcoming thriller Tulsa King. This new TV show is going to have Sylvester Stallone play a New York mafia leader called Dwight “The General.”

Terence Winter, who has worked on shows like The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire, will also be an executive producer.
The show follows Manfredi after he is released from prison. He seems to be a fictional character and not based on real people. The show’s title tells us about Manfredi’s situation: after 25 years in prison, he is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, by his mob family. In Tulsa, Manfredi tries to build a new crew and a new crime empire.
Executive producer David Glasser talked about what makes the show so exciting, including the fact that it’s Stallone’s first TV role.
“There is no better team to tell this story of a fish-out-of-water mobster than Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter. Their talent behind the camera, paired with the iconic Sylvester Stallone, will deliver a thrilling look at a man who prioritizes loyalty and family over all else, and is now taking stock of his life and grappling with the choices that have brought him to Tulsa,”
It will be easy for Yellowstone fans to recognize a man who places loyalty and family above everything else.
Max Casella (The Sopranos), Domenick Lombardozzi (The Wire), and Vincent Piazza (Vincent Piazza and Vincent Piazza) are some of the other actors in the cast (Boardwalk Empire).
There isn’t yet an official release date for the TV show, but we’re told it will air on Paramount+ sometime in fall 2022.
