Ronaldo rips Ten Hag in scathing interview

Christiano Ronaldo said he felt “betrayed” by Manchester United and the club’s current manager Erik ten Hag, in an explosive interview with journalist Piers Morgan. He also claimed that several high-ranking club officials had conspired to get him to leave Old Trafford.

Teasers for the interview, which will air later this week on Britain’s TalkTV, were issued on Sunday after United’s 2-1 victory against Fulham. The club said that Ronaldo was sick and was not available for selection for the second game in a row. Fans are left wondering about Ronaldo’s future in Manchester after hearing his interview comments.

Earlier in the season, Ronaldo was suspended by the manager when he refused to come in as a substitute in a 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur. You can hear Ronaldo remark, “I don’t have respect for him [Ten Hag] because he doesn’t show respect to me,” in a snippet of the interview. I will never respect you if you don’t respect me,” the Portuguese man said.

Ronaldo has not played for Manchester United since leaving in 2009 to play for Real Madrid and then Juventus. Several teams showed interest in Ronaldo during the summer transfer window before the 2022-2023 season. The player told Ten Hag the reason he departed was that.

Additionally, he asserted, “There are typically two or three individuals loitering around the club’s executive offices, so it wasn’t only the manager who attempted to get me out of Manchester United. It appeared like I was completely alone. You guessed correctly; I fell for a trap. I don’t think anyone’s feelings toward me have altered from last year or this year.”

Ronaldo criticized United’s lack of success during his 12 years with Real Madrid and Juventus. Regarding United’s interim manager from the previous year, Rangnick, he claimed to have “never heard of” him.

Ronaldo said, “I went with my heart.” After Sir Alex Ferguson told me, “you can’t come to Manchester City,” I answered, “OK, Boss.” The negotiations were mainly fruitless for both parties. Since Sir Alex Ferguson left, the club has made minimal improvements. At this time, there have been no adjustments. To Ferguson’s knowledge, the team is not performing as expected.

“He is aware of his awareness. It appears that everyone is aware. The blind will Be led to the light. This is because they actively choose to ignore the truth “with a Portuguese linguistic twist.
