It’s worth mentioning that all eight episodes of Reacher debuted simultaneously on Amazon, making it one of the company’s most-watched series ever in the United States and worldwide over a 24-hour period. Subscribers gave it an average score of 4.7 out of 5 for its original series, according to the broadcaster.

The series, written by Nick Santora, centres on a former military police investigator named Jack Reacher who has lately returned to civilian life. Reacher is a nomadic scavenger, with only a few belongings and no cell phone to keep in touch with those he used to serve. It has been 20 years since a homicide has occurred in Margrave, Georgia, the little hamlet that Jack Reacher is assigned to investigate. Eyewitnesses claim to have seen Reacher at the crime site, and the officers swiftly arrested him. An intricate scheme has been building for some time and requires Reacher’s wits and brute might to unravel. There’s no doubt about it: They chose the wrong guy to be the fall guy.
