Outlander season 6 cast

Season six will see the return of the following characters:

Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall Fraser, Richard Rankin as Roger Wakefield, Sophie Skelton as Brianna Fraser.

A “surprise” awaits “every season and every episode,” Heughan said to Parade. “Then, I thought to myself, “OK, so this is what Jamie’s doing. Because that’s the kind of guy he is.” From the scripts I’ve seen so far, I’m enthusiastic about this season because I think you’ll see a side of him you haven’t before.”

As reported by The Express, Heughan also teased: “in Ardsmuir Tom Christie is one of Jamie’s long-standing adversaries. He makes his way to Fraser’s Ridge, where he aims to gain some influence. A little bit of power play goes on, and his daughter becomes a very important element of this drama. I’m sorry, but there’s nothing else I can share with you.”

“Outlander does baddies and villains quite well,” Balfe said. In the end, “the Christies aren’t your conventional villains, which is wonderful and refreshing.”

Malva Christie, the daughter of Jamie’s antagonist Tom Christie, is one of Outlander’s new stars that Balfe is particularly fond of (Mark Lewis Jones).

According to Balfe, “Claire and Malva have a terrific relationship and bond.” “Claire finds it really upsetting. They all become entangled in a sorrowful yet bizarre storyline.”

In October, Outlander’s social media gave fans their first look at the newest residents of Fraser’s Ridge. Tom Christie’s son Allan Christie (Alexander Vlahos), who possesses a deadly secret that could threaten the lives of everyone on the Ridge, will be introduced in this season’s premiere.

Outlander season 6 plot

Season six of Outlander will be loosely based on Diana Gabaldon’s sixth novel, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, according to the show’s producers.

However, as we’ve already seen with the most recent season, this does not imply that upcoming episodes will be faithful to the source material. “Every year we approach it with a fresh perspective,” said executive producer Ronald Moore in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Should we limit it to one book per season? That’s what we’ve been doing up until now. However, we have discussed the possibility of splitting books as well as the possibility of combining them.

“We want to be able to pick and choose in the writers’ room and do whatever feels most comfortable that year,” says the group.

If the season-five finale provides any indication as to where things might go in future episodes, we will be left with many questions.

What kind of guilt, if any, will Marsali be feeling as a result of that poison injection?

Will Brianna be able to meet her half-brother, William, now that she has discovered she has a half-brother named William? In addition, will Buck Mackenzie (the son of Dougal and Geillis Duncan), Roger’s ascendant, show up to stir things up and cause havoc?

Graham McTavish, who played Dougal in the first two seasons of Outlander before returning to the show to play his son Buck in season five, would not say whether he would be returning to the set for the sixth season of the show.

Outlander season 6 trailer

Stop what you’re doing right now. The new trailer for Outlander season six has just been released, and it is packed with suspense. A major sacrifice is hinted at in the full-length trailer, which shows Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) continuing their journey under the threat of the Revolutionary War.

Things are becoming increasingly precarious for the two of them. “You assisted me in pulling myself out of the darkness,” Jamie tells Claire in the first scene of the promo. “You are always with me,” Claire says, but it appears that she is beginning to doubt her position as the trailer ends on an ominous note.

“I don’t feel at home here,” she confesses. “Brianna and Roger, they have no business being here. “However, here we are – each and every one of us. For the simple reason that I adore you. “It was more than just the life I had.”

There are still a few weeks until the premiere of the new series, so for the time being, you’ll have to make do with the hints dropped in the trailer.
