Matt Damon is an American actor, writer, producer and a proud father to a trio of lovely daughters namely, Isabella, Gia Zavala and Stella Damon.
The 50 year old award winning actor recently revealed that one of his daughters taught him to never use any homophobic slurs and he seems to be a great student, already on the pathway of refraining from doing so.
Famously known for ‘The Bourne Identity’ and ‘Stillwater’, Damon let out this piece of information during his interview with ‘The Sunday Times’, as he spoke about the notions of masculinity prevailing in Hollywood.
Matt shared, “The word that my daughter calls the ‘f-slur for a homosexual’ was commonly used when I was a kid, with a different application. I made a joke, months ago, and got a treatise from my daughter. She left the table.”
He further added, “I said, ‘Come on, that’s a joke! I say it in the movie “Stuck on You!”’” She went to her room and wrote a very long, beautiful treatise on how that word is dangerous. I said, ‘I retire the f-slur!’ I understood.”
Here’s how several fans have taken to Twitter, to express their thoughts and opinions on this big revelation, making the Oscar winning actor go trending.

If Matt Damon has been using homophobic slurs all this time, you know he’s been using racist and sexist ones too.

also I hate to start "gay actors for gay roles" discourse but Matt Damon was Bafta, SAG and Golden Globe nominated for Behind the Candelabra, a gay role largely about homophobia in the 1980s and the Aids crisis, so this type of shit is partly why people get so frustrated by it!

I just assume every a-list actor is kinda dumb and insulated from reality and instead of trying to get them to “do better” we should stop deferring so much significance to a handful of dummies. Who cares what language Matt Damon uses, make him redistribute his wealth

Most of these tweets express disappointment and resentment for the actor, as he faces backlashes for assumptions of using other sexist and racist slurs with a straight face too.
